[NL] Scammer

I was contacted about 10 minutes ago by *nlsteve_387

He said he was from the forums and wanted to do a Torch trade that I posted about like a day ago. He claimed to have a Paladin Torch for my Sorceress Torch. He dropped his, I dropped mine, we switch, and I end up with a friggin' Amazon Torch. I don't know if that kid posts on these forums, but I would like to have him banned if at all possible. so you dindt take any screen shots, you dont have his forum account name and you expect him to admit it to it? its your own fault...|||I feel pain for you dude. I same thing done to me by this scumbag, ecentric (he's a forum member) yet i can't do crap about that. My advice is: if you are going to do a drop trade you have two options:

1) ask to see the torch first then trade or

2) bring another torch to see if the other guy is really dropping the advertised torch. We are honest ppl right? lol. Just want to see the goods before the transacttion.|||Quote:

Who's going to let anybody see their torch before they trade it...

Anyway sorry to hear that, even on these forums there are malicious people who will try to scam you. Torch and anni trades are always alittle iffy.|||Quote:

i assume there are a number of ppl who read these forums yet dont have an acct and therefore can scam u. always check back to ur thread when needed to see if it matches whoever was interested in ur torch. if the accts dont match, ask him to prove it by going into the acct that matchs what acct was posted. otherwise dont trade at all. anyone whos been here (and has a acct) a while are usually trustworty and wont scam u|||Don't trust people with really low post counts (10~50) because that might be an extra dummy account made to scam with. I wouldnt do drop trades with anyone under 150-200 posts... Or if i recognize the name and know they are trustworthy... or u can have a respected member come and mod the trade...|||Having a high post works :P

I never have to drop my anni/torch first since my post count is erm.. pretty high. If they have lower post count than me and they want me to drop. I just won't trade.|||If you have problems the best thing to do is to PM a moderator and not post it here.
